The evergreen magnolias provide cheery greenery in the drab doldrums of winter and are therefore valued for their leathery foliage. There are several magnolia evergreen varieties from which to choose.
Flowering on bare stems in late winter, deciduous magnolias produce some of the best flowers for this time of the year some are small and delicate while others are large, as big as dinner plates.
Tropical fruit Trees grow naturally in lush forests where they are protected from cold winds and they thrive in warm and humid conditions.
Michelia is a historical genus of flowering plants belonging to the Magnolia family. The genus included about 50 species of evergreen trees and shrubs, native to tropical and subtropical south and southeast Asia, including southern China.
Roses are hardy, deciduous, prickly bushes that are also arguably the most famous flower in the world, prized for their beauty and often their fragrance. There are four main types of roses, and many rose varieties are available in multiple types.
Buxus are evergreen shrubs and small trees. They are part of the Buxaceae family and are native to parts of Europe, Asia, America and Africa. Buxus normally have small oval, glossy, dark green leaves which form an evergreen compact shrub. Immature Buxus plants can change colour and take on Autumn toning during a very cold Winters. This is quite normal and often relates to very cold nights with bright sunny days, with cold winds also known to cause this bronzing.
